ge? FOREWORD Television, the ever growing interest of the mod- ern world, is playing a continually larger part in our lives each day. We see the programs which we have known for many years on the radio coming to us in a new and more spectacular manner. The i953 CREST STAFF presents to you a vivid picture of Television as we see it, the programs, the actors and the actresses, the Television equipment and the theater life, itself. Our School Life Section presents the news as it has happened and is happening here at Peoria High School. The plays, the assemblies, and the extra- curricular activities are all represented in it. Each page brings to your mind a picture of some event or bit of news which has taken place during the school year. We see friends' faces and names making news and we see exciting events coming to life before our very eyes in the NEWS CAST. The faculty, THE DIRECTORS, teach us to work together to make our way in the Television show of life. They help us to study together and to be to- gether, which are things that will be of great im- portance to us as we begin to make our way in future years. In the DRAMATIC SHOW we see the pictures of the Seniors, the leaders of Peoria High School. They have grown year by year from the Comedy Show of their Freshman year to the Dramatic Show of this year. With them have grown their ideas, their in- tellectual abilities, their extra-curricular activities, and their actions. The actors in the Dramatic Show display a combination of these traits which make the Class of T953 the best at Peoria High. THE COMEDY SHOW, THE VARIETY SHOW, AND THE QUIZ SHOW represent the Freshmen, the Sophomores, and the Juniors, respectively. This group of students constitutes over three-fourths of the student body and plays a large port in all school activities. Peoria High would not be such an interest- ing place if it weren't for the underclassmen whose actions add much to our Television Show of Life. THE SPECIAL EVENTS PROGRAM shows the varied extra-curricular activities which are sponsored here at Peoria High School. The various clubs and groups sponsored here offer to every student the opportunity for fun and entertainment in the field which he most enioys. THE SPORTS CAST gives us a review of the ex- citing thrills and the ups and downs of every game, meet, and match played during the past season at Peoria High. It has pictures of each team and identi- fications of its members, plus informals of the team coaches. All programs must have COMMERCIALS AND SPONSORS to help them finance their productions. Our Business Staff has done a very successful job of securing the needed sponsors whose names appear in the Advertising Section. The T953 CREST STAFF invites each one of you to join us as we visit The Television Show of Peoria High School.
