P VLC GPH The Oriental was always looking toward and planning for the future. A young man worked long, hard hours to insure security in his later days. The whole culture was such that a man's son gradually took over responsibilities, that his father's later days might be spent at leisure. The Orientals worked twice as hard or gave up twice as much if the future offered a little more promise. In modern civilization the future is considered in much the same way. With the help of the faculty, a youth lays his foundation during his school days. Upon this foundation the responsibilities and burdens of life which will insure future security are placed, the stronger the foundation, the greater the burdens that may be placed upon it, and the greater the security that the future holds. Therefore, we at Peoria High should look toward the future and build our foundations great and strong that we, too, may live rich and full lives in the days to come. QS f y x xx?
