SWEDELL, BERNARD F., B.S., M.A. Every high school student wants the same things: to get into the classes best suited to her needs, to get the best grades which she is capable of making in these classes, and to have a chance to make the friends and be in the activities which each one would enjoy. I would like to have a part in helping make all this possible lor the students who come to this school - that Peoria High School graduates may be good members of business organizations, colleges, and lamilies - and as such, good citizens of the world. Education is the torch with which the world is lighted or destroyed Science and technology have provided us with the things by which we can rise to heights ol civilization undreamed ol by our fathers or can result in the destruction ol the present civilization. Which it is will be answered by the young people whose pictures appear in this book and their millions ol fellows in other parts ofthe world. if ' BARR, SARAH M., B.S., M.A.
