Cadcceus Society The Caduceus Society Was founded in the sum- mer of 1970 as a result of a desire by local medical and dental societies to identify-to draw together -all students in medically related programs at PJ C. The society is strictly scientific in aim and endeavor. Activities this year included featuring a number of guest speakers from the medical World. An effort was made to schedule speakers from as many different fields of medicine as possible, emphasis being placed on vocations which could be pursued by the student. Caduceus Society members include students from medically related programs such as Dental Hygiene, Dental Assistants, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Technology, Medical Secretaries, Pre-dental, Pre-medical and Pre-nursing. Circle K Sponsored by Kiwanis International, Circle K is the largest college organization in existence. There are more than 600 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. A men's service organ- ization with the motto We Build, Circle K en- deavors to be a positive and constructive force on the college campus and in the larger community of which the college is a part. Locally, the PJC chapter of Circle K has spon- sored a number of worthwhile college and com- munity service projects recently. One of the most- noteworthy of the projects was the presentation of gifts to the Crippled Children's Home, for which the PJC chapter was commended by the North- west Florida Crippled Children's Association.
