Black Student Union The Black Student Union, formerly known as Triple G, was established in the fall of 1968 to promote goodwill and brotherhood among the stu- dent body. Any full-time student is eligible for membership. The organization co-sponsored the observance of National Black History Week, February 7-13 at PJ C. The theme for the observance was Black History Plus. Several members of the group wrote poems and essays for the occasion and a skit Was presented which took a dramatic excerpt from the broadway play, A Raisin in the Sun. During the fall term, Rev. Fred Shutitlesworth spoke to the group about his experiences in the early civil rights movement.
