Foreign Students Coming from such geographically diverse places as Peru, Morocco and France, PJ C's for- eign students lend a truly cosmopolitan aura to the campus. They come primarily to obtain an education which will be useful to them when they return to their native lands. They achieve this and much more. Living, Working and playing among us for a time, these young ambassadors of international understanding and goodwill teach us much about love and brotherhood-about getting along With our fellow men. Our horizons are broadened by their presence. The Lira sisters come to PJC from Lima, Peru. Amalia fleftj plans to major in Electronics Engi- neering after graduation in 1972. Rosario Krightj will, upon graduation, go on to the University of West Florida to major in Language. Both are members of the Diplomats club. Freshmen Omar Lotfi Qleftj and Serge Lebreton frightj are both of French speaking backgrounds. Omar, a native of Casablanca, Morocco, came to the United States with the Peace Corps. He plans to major in Business-Economics at the University of West Florida. Serge, a Parisian by birth, came to Pensacola by Way of the United States Navy in which he served. Serge plans to pursue a Marine Science degree at West Florida. MQ EM is fLeft-Rightj Hernan Leyna, Fernando Cammaert, Erik Herazo and Alvaro Patino are all natives of Colombia. Hernan, a freshman Mechanical Technol- ogy major, will, upon graduation in 1972, return to his homeland to assist in technological development there. Fernando, in his second year at PJC, is major- ing in Marketing. A motorcycle and race car en- thusiast and a member of the Diplomats club, Fezando will continue his education at West Florida Teodomiro Perez Cleftj of Tarma, Peru and Fernando Romero frightl of Bogota, Colombia are attending PJC on scholarships. Teo, who plans to major in Electronics Engineering, is a member of the PJC Diplomats club as well as the Institute of Interna- tional Education from which he received his schol- arship. Fernando is following a course of study in the field of Business Administration. X following graduation in April. Erik, also in his sec- ond year at PJC, is an Industrial Management ma- jor. He too will go on to West Florida after gradu- ation this year. Erik is a member of the Diplomats club. Alvaro, a freshman, is enrolled in PJC's Data Processing program. He plans to attend West Florida following graduation in 1973. Alvaro is a sports en- thusiast, enjoying all sports, especially soccer. Freshmen Carlos Barriga fleftj and Salino Massino Crightj, residents of Lima, Peru, are both in the Data Processing program at PJC. After graduation in 1972, Carlos plans to return to Peru. Salino will continue his studies in the United States. Salino's ac- tivities include part-time work in the language lab. Both students are attending PJC on a scholarship.
