Administration As president of Pensacola Junior College, Dr. T. Felton Harrison is called upon not only to act as the chief administrative officer of the college, but also to take an active part in community af- fairs and in educational processes elsewhere. Prior to joining the staff of Pensacola Junior College in 1955 as Dean of the Evening College, Dr. Harrison Was a member of the History De- partment at Western Carolina College. In 1960 he was appointed Dean of Basic Studies at Pensa- cola Junior College and in 1964 was made Vice President of the college. On July 1, 1964, he as- sumed the presidency of PJ C. President Harrison received his B.A.E. and M.A.E. at the University of Florida and his Ed.D. at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Harrison holds an honorary Litt.D. degree from the Uni- versity of West Florida. He is a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Florida Associa- tion of Public Junior Colleges. Dr. Harrison is Secretary of the Pensacola Junior College Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Lions Club and is on the Board of Directors of the United Fund, the Heart Fund and the Baptist Hospital. In order to keep apace of the thinking of PJ C students and to maintain a dialogue between the administration and the student body, President Harrison has instituted a monthly President's Luncheon at Which he meets and talks informally with various campus leaders. Held the third Tues- day of each month, the luncheons have proven very useful.
