vu Delta Kappa Alpha Delta Kappa Alpha was founded on the PJC campus in the fall of 1961 with the idea of bring- ing new meaning to brotherhood and fraternity life. The bond began with 13 charter members but has since grown to 160 brothers with new pledges each term. Besides being active on the social calendar with beach parties, house parties, dances and weekend get-togethers , the Dekes hold positions in athletics, Inter-Greek Council and other cam- pus organizations. The purpose of the fraternity is to stress and promote scholarship, leadership and brotherhood. The organization and its standards are based on those of senior college fraternities. Concern for others is exhibited through the Dekes' many com- munity-oriented projects.
