Foreign Exchange Students Become Claudia Wetzel is a German exchange student who not only was able to attend a public high school but a community college CPJCJ. She enjoyed her stay here and will miss her friends. Orlan Helland commonly known as John says he likes PHS a lot the students are nice and most of the teachers. He enjoys track, swimming, politics, reading, tennis, and racket ball. He will be returning to Norway this summer and will miss the friendly people the most. Brigitte Rasmussen loves PHS especially the discipline she says she has never seen anything like it. Brigette enjoys most sports especially badmitten, handball, and swimming. She will miss her host family, school and friends the most. Marianne Kilov is a Danish exchange student says that she loves school here especially her friends and teachers. She feels that the school works more individually with the students and covers a lot more subjects. Marrianne enjoys squash, swim- ming, chinapainting, music, parties, guys, and talking on the phone. This years Junior Miss brought many new tal- ents to Pensacola High School. Singing, acting, musical performances and a variety of dance were just a few of the talents the girls performed. DECA hosted the in-school contest this year for the eleven contestants and for the four girls, who were chosen to represent Pensacola High School at the county Jr. Miss, their was a special happi- ness. Cindy Tate resigns as the year PHS Jr. Miss with Brenda Hall as first runner-up, Tonya Savage with second, and Terese Ruiz as third runner-up. 1. Pensacola High School's eleven contestants patiently awaitbjudges decision. 2. Brenda Hall, Tonya Savage and Terese Ruiz are selected to represent PHS in the county pageant. 3. Cindy Tate gains title to be this years PHS Junior Miss. Her escort is Steve Stack. 4. Cindy Tate shows outstanding acting and singing abilities during PHS Junior Miss. 5. The moment of suspence and joy as Cindy Tate is an- nounced winner of this years Junior Miss. 6. Angela Rains performs on saxophone for Jr. Miss. 7. Therese Ruiz plays a piano piece as her performance. 8. April Petrey performs song from Cats , 9. Tonya Savage shows her talent in speech. 10.
