Long lines often await the hungry The lunchroom at Pensacola High was more often than not seriously overcrowded. Lines of- ten reached to the back of the cafeteria. To get a lunch it was not unusual to have to stand in line for almot half the allotted lunch hour. The food was more often than not well worth the wait. It was also nourishing and tasty. 24

Library definite and needed study aid This year the PHS library meets many of the educational needs of each PHS student by supplying his teacher films, film- strips, books and numerous peri- odicals. The library, along with the capable staff members, is able to help further the educa- tional of all the PHS students, with the aid of the experienced Mrs. Bowles. l Mr. Brady sits and silently wonders about the ups and downs of juniors pains. 2 Mrs. Mirian Staley is often found with her hand on a phone and fier mind at work. 3 Mrs. rate on one of the many problems they face. 4 Students actually use their library prive- leges even though difficult to get. 5 Mrs. Simmons gives an unknown student directions on the location of books. 6 Mrs. Bowles strives diligently to keep the magazines and files in the correct order. 25

Custodial staff helps clean-up PHS The custodial staff of PHS consists of both male and fe- male. They spent endless hours striving to keep the cluttered halls in a recognizable state of cleanliness. They picked up, swept, and mopped hall floors everyday. Endless efforts were put forth to keep PHS’s halls shining. ■? - -- 1 Lunchrooms arc always crowded as students strive to satisfy their hunger. 2 Studcnts usually have gobs of fun during lunch communicating with one another. 3 Students are anxious to get back to class af- ter a 30-minutc lunch break. 4 Mr. Seibert, one of the custodians at PHS. finds his work time consuming and tiring. S Lillie Mae English, one of the competent custodians, takes a minute off to rest. 6 Willie Harris, head yard cleaner, smiles a weary smile as he ponders over his work. 27
