junior High Music Program Developed Talents The Junior High musical program consisted of Vocalaires, Songsters, and intermediate Band. Participants developed their talents through enjoy- able learning. Intermediate Band was a training ground. The future virtuosos ran the obstacle course around and through demerits. The forty-tour members climbed up and down the scales and drilled in masterpieces by Beethoven and Bach. Maestro Nickson com- manded the squad in operettas and assemblies. Songsters sang the part ot our Jun- ior High vocal section. The forty-six harmonizers worked for the realization of proper posture and vocal control. Male voices accented the many female voices. The instruction provided by Miss Mast revealed itself in the remark- able arrangements the Songsters and Vocalaires presented in assemblies, Thanksgiving Vespers, and the Spring Arts Festival. i , .. i , Q. , T, ' ir' , ,4 -gi: x .
