Go! The initial start released accumulated nerv- ous tension. The stride lengthened and quickened as runners exerted their energies. Eye contact was on a fixed point twenty feet ahead. Adrena- lin surged as the runner closed on the finish line. The final sprint transported Q,,R:g. .r:.- 1 O41 Sports the track man across the finish line. Spring races spanned from fifty yards to two miles.
