Room A dozen of our members purchased season tickets to the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra concerts given at the Academy of Music Reading Club Despite one hundred and one other pressing activities we squeezed in many enchanted intermittant hours listening to Miss Heick as she read Snow Goose” by Gallico, and Silence of the Sea” by Vercors Here is our vote of appreciation to Miss Heick Activities This is a committee of girls elected to arrange ?or speakers to address the student body Kv, Moore gave a very interesting talk concerning our native birds; Mrs Bush-Brown showed us; the school from its beginning until the present, and kept us in poals of laughter with amusing anecdotes; Miss Watt told us about her experiences in New Zealand; Dr Wherry gave a lecture on wild flowers; Mr Brumbaugh spoke about Pennsylvania Dutch architecture All of these talks were supplemented with slides--many of thorn with Kodachrome Dairy Club Inspired this year by Mr Hildreth, the Dairy Club formed a constitution and started with eight charter members We gave a bang up Barn Party and made a little money on the side® About Christmas time three now members went through very rigorous initiation rites and joined our ranks y '■ •« 4 I • r. i WISE ACPES I t
