Taking over as spokesman and leader of his class, Haggerty was one of the first names our late Bos'n added to his Vocabu- lary. When Jim became a first classman he took over complete charge of the Cadet Corps, ac- cepting the additional job of keeping his four gold stripes bright and shining. His favorite sport is studying and it is also his favorite pastime. Fal used to work at the Navy Yard and in practical work he is tops. Frank is the sole man in charge of the for- ward hold and tool rooms, which places really keep him busy. Though small in stature, Paul has won the admiration of his classmates with his thorough knowledge of the sea. There were times when we gave without regret cigarettes for a slight tip in navigation.
