The Road Ends as with all good things, our stay at pco has come to an end. how these four years flew by! yet, we have been taught well. over six thou- sand hours of instruction were crammed into our not-always recep- tive minds. clinic became our testing ground. we were exposed to a myriad of patients whose visual problems often seemed insurmounta- ble. we muttled through somehow. now it has come to an end. the pieces have all been fit together, though they are still rough. all that we have been taught, all that we have been able to glean through reading and conversations, we must be able to convoke at will. our patients await us with blinking, tear- ing, squinting eyes. and, armed with our retinoscopes and near-point cards we will go forth to meet the challenge. it's a helluva feeling. 64 pf' we'll never torget bebee. . ef'

ten members of the class of 1967 had the unique and enriching oportunity to partici- pate in a summer interneship program at the Optometric center ofnew york. these men were exposed to a brilliant staff of lec- turers, researches, and clinicians from which they gleaned much in the way of theoretical and practical knowledge. the areas stressed in the program were the following: vision training, developmental vision, contact lenses, aniseikonia, subnormal vision, geria- tric optometry, tonometry, and analytical refraction. ,l arthur g denman, b.s., m.d. w.Wwmmw.Wwb.,:,,.
