WE BECAME PART GF THE RGAD with our newly acquired opthalmoscopes and retinoscopes we began our junior year. brimming with enthusiasm we practised on our wives and friends until we mastered the techniques. junior clinic was the focal point of our third year's efforts. we spent numerous hours examining our fellow students who likewise spent numerous hours attempting to confuse us. eventually, we learned to interpret the inane. we developed our chairside techniques. in addition, ocular pathology became one of our beacons. we became aware ofthe minute differ- ences between the healthy and the diseased eye. we learned to interpret case histories and to understand the wonder of the living eye. m baskm a. bierman I, blame J bolard h breitman k brown vernon i. ryan, b.sc., o.d. d0nald kratz 21 b d
