FOREMEN We students seldom realize that our education is the result of the service and supervision of three groups of civic-minded persons composed of the administration. Parent-Teachers' Association, and School Board. These people, genuinely interested in youth and its welfare, have taken our problems as their challenge and duty with unusual foresight. All successful, lasting buildings must have well organized plans. As the architects oi this project, our Administration, P.T.A., and School Board, have tried to design and organize a system through which the workers may succeed in becoming well- rounded citizens oi a universe desperately demanding men and women prepared in attacking the challenges which face them day by day. As their share in developing these plans, the Administration-consisting of Mr. Medill Bair, Regional Superintendent: Mr. William Ingraham, Assistant Regional Superintendent: and Mr. R. Currier, Prin- cipal, who has just recently become a mem- ber of Pennsbury's System-has established a work-shop in which is organized the de- sired program for the student body. Also MR. RICHARD L. Foreword CC UILD THEE MORE stately mansions, oh, my soul, as the swift seasons roll! We hope to show in this. the 1951 Pennsman, with the building of the new Pennsbury High School as the theme, the way by which we, the students, have been developed, both in minds and bodies, into fine structures that will be lasting through many years of calm and storm. Therefore, we would like to dedicate this builders' log to our entire Pennsbury school system. We have tried through our write-ups, photography, and art work to carry through our theme showing the part that a school plays in the building of a nation. and world, strong in the ideals for which we stand. lust as the architects laid the foundation for the edifice which is to be our new school, our School Board has laid the foundation for the development of the material from within. Likewise the faculty, our foremen, have guided and directed our work in a' manner which they think will bring forth the best results. ' As the main workers, our seniors have emerged from the system well prepared to enter a world that is ever evolving and growing with new ideas and. problems. Behind them they have left the journeymen and apprentices who will grow and age along with the- new schooll We wish to thank the architects, foremen, and. workers who are building the new Pennsbury High School as well as the architects and foremen who- planned and directed tne learning within the old Pennsbury High School. All of you have had a part in. making us the builders of tomorrow. S C H 0 ol. Fnllslngton, Pennsylvania H, , Y

they have set up new courses and taken on new faculty members to allow the students to have the advantages constituted by these additional classes, namely, Advanced Biol- ogy, Business Law, Creative Writing, Dra- matics, and Public Speaking. Our P.T.A., of which Mr. Drake is presi- dent, consists of the parents of the students and the teachers of Pennsbury. This year they have, as in previous years, provided two scholarships to enable two students to .attend schools of further education. Also they have given a banquet for outstanding workers of the High 'School at which time they awarded medals ot merit to the most deserving. To establish smoother ties be- tween teachers and parents, the P.T.A. has organized adult study groups. Last and most important, the School Board, again presided over by Mrl Forrest lobes, has done an excellent job ot com- municating with Harrisburg to enable tur- ther development in the plans of a badly needed new High School. r As Longfellow once said, All are archi- tects of tate working in these walls ot time.
