UST AS BRICK work, masonry. and plumb- ing go into the making of the new school. so do the various activities go into making a Pennsbury student a well-rounded citizen in to- morrow's democracy. To develop the physical phase, activities such as basketball, boys' athletic clubs, baseball, girls' athletic clubs, hockey, foot- ball, and softball are offered. To develop the social graces, dancing clubs, the Iunior Prom, the Senior Ball, informal sports dances, and canteen are scheduled. To develop leadership and self- governing ability, Honor Society, Student Council, and Student Court have been established. To offer opportunities to develop hidden talents, the Color Guard, the Majorettes, the Band, the chorus groups, the junior and senior plays and numerous clubs have been programmed into the curriculum. The result is a well-constructed building, each activity serving a vital part in its construction. '

STUDENT COUNCll.... welds labor and management. In every democratic organization each membermust have representation, must formu- late policy, and must solve problems. The students of Pennsbury exercise this right through the Student Council. During this past year the senior high Stu- dent Council, for the tirst time in Pennsbury High, established a student court to carry out discipline democratically. In addition to this, the council conducted the annual magazine subscription campaign and continued with the canteenpmaking it more successful than ever. The junior high Student Council, this year. besides beginning a program to establish EDWARD CURLEY.
