Mr. Forrest C. lobes Mr. Medill Bair Mr. A. VanWagenen Top: Mr. Forrest C. lobes, though very busy as a company executive, still finds time to serve as an able president ot the School Board. Middle: Mr. Medill- Bair attacks the job of regional superintendent with enthusiasm and industry. Below: Mr. VanWagenen, also an executive, untiringly acts as president ot the Parent-Teacher Association. HE THREE MEN pictured on this page represent the three groups involved in providing this area with a school system that is fast taking the lead in Bucks County. Chief of these groups is the School Board, the work of which this year has consisted principally in spending time, effort, and money trying to work through red tape connected with building a new school. Fortunately, the end seems in sight and Pennsbury can hope very shortly to occupy new quarters. Working just as hard is the school administrative body, charged with the bettering of instruction as well as the smooth, eiticient running of the school. This year in-service training under Dr. S. Butterweck, of Temple University, and special workshop days were provided for teachers in aiding them to set up a curriculum to meet Pennsbury's needs. In addition, outstanding co- ordination among all schools and personnel groups was maintained. Three cheers for these excellent leaders. Exceptional mention must be made of the third body, the Parent-Teacher Association which has accom- plished much. Among their worthwhile enterprises have been the awarding of two scholarships, the pro- viding of a banquet for top-ranking students, the re- organizing ot bus routes, and the instituting of study groups to help parents to understand children's prob- lems. Who can believe that this group has only been in existence two years? Pennsbury is surely fortunate in having such inter- ested adults working for its welfare! This symbolic and abstract painting depicts the artist's conception of the faculty Represented by mature iull-grown branches, the teachers plant their knowledge in the minds of students symbolized in the form of a young sapling. In addition to knowledge instructors impart guidance and understanding. The latter contributions are embodied in the form of leaves
