ABSENT: Donald Starr, Charles Decker, Robert Rishel, Jacque Rossman, Ray Vonada, jerry Addleman. The lf.lf.A. has been very active throughout the year. The following is an idea of our work: In competition, our educational display at Grange Fair received a first prize. The same display won seventh at the State Farm Show. We also had entries in the junior Dairy Show in September. Some of our members participated in the State F.F.A. Convention at State College in june, and Nevin Zerby was in the finals of the state public speaking contest. With a record number of twenty-one project books entered in the Pennsylvania State project book contest, we were awarded thirteen prizes. As far as educational programs, we prepared two TV shows for presentation over WFBG-TV in Altoona, and we presented an F.F.A. assembly during National F.F.A. week in February. We held our an- nual spring party and an educational field trip to the Farm Show. Our annual Parent and Son Ban- quet was held in the spring. We participated in the junior Cooperative seed sales, and are proud to say we have four Keystone Farmers from our chapter this year. F.H.A. participated in various state and national projects for which they gained special recognition for their club and their school. These projects included: The Teen-age Consumer, Unesco, Courtesy Counts, Crossnore and Beautification of Home, School, and Community. Other projects included: Christmas door decorations, Christmas faculty tea, monthly bulletin board display, school assembly program, Home Project Recognition Day, Grange Fair Booth, which won first prize, State Farm Show Booth, which received third prize, and the Betty Crocker search 'for the Home- maker of Tomorrow. Martha Sheats won the Penns Valley Homemaker of Tomorrow award. junior Homemaker degrees are to be awarded to Joyce Alters, Beulah Biss, Judy Bowersox, Grace Breon, Nelda Wingard, Norma Wingard, Helen Miller, Joanne Decker, Carol Simco, Louise Bower, Lois Kerstetter. They have also conducted the Woman's Club Program for the Centre Hall Club and presented an assembly program. They participated at the Home Project Recognition Day in Bellefonte, where three girls told of their home experience. They also presented a skit, related to a phase of homemaking. They prepared and served the meal for the F.F.A. Parents and Son Banquet. 6I
