' am FIRST ROW: Audrey Watson, Joyce Guiser, Ann Wheeler fseatedj, Sandra Vonada, Ernest Lucas, Mr. Bonnell. SECOND ROW: james Bradford, Molly Evans, Kay Byers, Evonne Esterline, Brenda Rossman. YEARBOOK Undertaking the task of publishing another edition of the Blue and White, the staff was given in- structions on the correct procedure in editing a yearbook. From there the staff eagerly chose a theme, Our Alma Mater. With the book progressing nicely, Patricia Breon and Mrs. Reed attended the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Convention, it was learned that our yearbook for 1958 had been judged and was awarded first prize in the 500 to 1000 enrollment division. Needless to say, we were all proud. This gave the literary staff, the businessb staff, and the advisors the incentive to try to pro- duce another award winning yearbook. NEWSPAPER Under the supervision of Mr. 'Bonnell, advisor, and Ann Wheeler, editor-in-chief, the newspaper staff has again provided the student body with a very enjoyable and informative year of publications. The special issues of the school year were dedicated to American Education Week, our seniors, and the Christ- mas season. 57
