Red and Whit VOL. XXIV, No, 6 REGIONAL HIGH 1 .1 ROBERTA FKLLERTON JOYCE BOIFVIER RED AND WHITE HISTORY The Red and White, Re- gional High School's news- paper, is actually the older of the school's two publica- tions, tracing its history back approximately thirty- five years. During part of this time the Red .and White was a combination of lit- erary magazine, newspaper and yearbook, serving ad- mirably a student body much smaller than the pres- ent one. With the establishment of the Retrospect in 1947 as Regional High School's yearbook, the Red and White began its career as a newspaper exclusively, as- suming printed or mimeo- graphed form, as the state of its finances dictated. Af- ter recovering from a severe case of empty treasuritisw la disease little known to Western science but surpris- ingly common among stu- dent publicationsj the paper SCHOOL, PENNS GRSVE. returned to printed form two years ago and has pro- gressed to such an extent that its size was enlarged this year. The 1955 Red and White staff is headed by Joyce Bouvier as Editor-in-Chief and Bobbe Fullerton as Managing Editor. These two senior editors read copy, write headlines, proofread. plan layouts and supervise the paper generally. In ad- dition to this work, Manag- ing Editor Fullerton has been chief salesman for the advertising staff which has contributed almost six hun- dred dollars to the paper's income. Two faculty members as- sist the students in the task of publishing the student newspaper. Miss Margaret Conner acts as literary advi- sor, while Miss Daisy Mc- Cartney, supervises the staff's financial activities.
