Sally and Bev soiling paper 11 4 K Vvhen the photographer leaves Dick and Dennie will do as they please Art Department Here at Pennridge all freshmen take art They get their hands dirty as they draw paint, sculpture play with mud and make faces For the next three years students may return to get their hands dirtier Then they study advanced drawing and painting, jewelry manufacturing, paper weight design, and other decorative arts Notice the subtle designs on canvas shoes, on any desks, on the taskful interiors of any student carsg notice the application of selected photographs on the inside of locker doors, the application of mascara. Members paint other scenery, too. There are stage productions each year, and the Art Department is responsible to make Birnam Wood look that way.
