The student at Pennridge is fortunate in having a well equipped art room and a talented teacher. Art is a required subject for all fresh- men. Upperelassmen who are interested may elect arts and crafts or drawing and painting. The art club provides an outlet for artistic expression for students who are unable to fit an art class into their sched- ule. Every year there are several chances for the students to exhibit their master- pieces. Everything from ceramics to house plans, from painting to mobiles can be found in these exhibitions. S.. ,mmf

HOME ECUNOMICJ' llliss Chalfant plans this course to help girls develop a fundamental knowledge in homemaking. This course helps stu- dents to acquire skills and self-confidence. Here they are taught to plan, prepare, and serve a meal as they would do in their own homes. In this class girls are also taught to sew.
