FKES CLASS Before school began in September, the freshmen, 350 strong, reported to P.H.S. for a TOLII' of the school. They were certainly a wide-eyed, longfaced group. Two weeks later the whole situation had changed. The frosh made many new friends, spent hour upon hour learning the school songs and cheers, and a little less time mem- orizing school rules. Class meetings helped the freshmen to meet more teachers and students, and gave them a chance to discuss high school life. The freshmen organ- ized committees during the winter to plan the annual Freshman dance, which they held May 11. A good many members of the class turned out for the big event. The class of 1960 has made a good start: they have partici- pated in sports, the band, the chorus, and many of our clubs. If they continue to be ambitious and spirited, they will have three wonderful years ahead of them.
