FRESHMEN ACTIVITIES The Class of '46 began with an enrollmont of sixteen pupils. Because of late entries and withdrawals, we now have a class of thir- teen students. We elected the following class officers: Pres ident- ---------------------- Barbara Smith Vice President----------------- Reginald Clark Sec retary-- -n- nee cece meee nnn Pauline Pollard Tr easurer-- nn eee ee een ne en نج چا بت بت Kathleen Carr The Student Council representatives whom we elected were: Ethel Verrill and Lloyd Wing. Our first important event was Freshmen Reception, which was spo- nsored by the Sophomore Class. It was held on October third, 1942. We had a very pleasant evening, although we were covered with lip- stick. j We of the Freshmen Class have had a very happy year ənd are looking forward to next yoar and to our return es Sophomores. Lloyd Wing, '46. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council was reorganized this year for the fifth year at Pennell.. At the first meeting we found the representatives to be: Fresh- men Class,Ethel Verrill and Lloyd Wing; Sophomore Class,Cerley Crom- mett end Carlton Skillings; Junior Class, Emily Maxwell ond Robert Purinton; Senior Class, Jeanne Smith and Arnold Hell. The following officers were elected: President--------=---- --- ----- Jeanne Saith Vice President----------------- Arnold Hall Secretery-------------------- Emily Maxwell Treasurer- ----------------- Carley Cromaett The Student Council members are expected to keep order in the hall andon the stairs. They elso conduct the fire drills. Council members are expected to take chergo of the study hall whenever the teachers are not present. On Merch thirty-first the Student Council replaced the teachers in their classes. The Council members had complete charge of th e class they were teaching. The different teachers visited the verious classes,
