From th-e earliest wars, men and women from Penn Yan and surrounding areas have given their services for a cause in which they believed. They died that you and I might have freedom and life under God. They died in heroic efforts to crush war from the earth. They died that we might overcome the causes of war: pride, lust, avarice, anger, gluttony, envy and sloth.
