ft' Mr Campney F Randall Representa uve to Councrl J Wachob Presrdent Mrss Streeter Miss Grady B Iepsen Secretary M Kennedy Treasurer Mrss Stowe Once upon a tlme 1n the year 1947 the peasant class of St M1ke s Jo1ned the peasant class of Penn Yan Jun1or H1gh School for the frrst t1me Durmg the f1rst year that these two groups were un1ted they chose Dav1d Dan1els for themr leader Pat Wood was next 1n 11ne Sylv1a Bodme was scr1be and Charles Watkms was tax collector Joan DeG1-aff was elected to represent the clan n Counc11 H1ghl1ghts of the year were a Chrlstmas Play and two dances W1nter Won derland and Spr1ng Fever Commencement soon followed Graduatmg from the peasant class the clan found themselves Lords and Lad1es As leaders Pat Wood replaced Davrd Dan1els John Turner took over Pat Wood s old dut1es Helen Esk1ldsen became scr1be Charles Watk1ns was aga1n tax collector and Sonny Ogden represented the clan 1n Counc1l As was the custom they held a dance a very dlfferent one for ye old halls of Penn Yan Academy called the Soc Hop At the end of the year the persons selected to lead the clan for the next year were Paul Perez leader Bruce LeCla1re next 1n l1ne Jerry Parsons tax collector Helen Esk1ldsen scr1be and Pat Wood representatwe to Counc1l Soon the Lords and Lad1es became Dukes and Duchesses and took posses s1on of the upper hall of the castle The f1rst half of the year was uneventful but soon th1ngs began to happen On March Z7 1950 the play One Mad N1ght was produced It was procla1med the greatest comedy h1t of the ages One sunny May Wednesday a tournament was held for the two hrghest classes of the nob1l1ty Wlthout much hes1tat1on the Dukes and Duchesses pre sented the hlghest nob1l1ty w1th the w1n of the day s melee so they wouldn t be d1sappo1nted Then came the trad1t1onal dance g1ven 1n honor of the upper nob1l1ty by the Dukes and Duchesses It was called Stardust At last' The goal IS reached' The clan of 1951 are now Barons and Baron esses They have atta1ned th1s goal by f1l11ng the vacancy left by the clan of 1950 James Wachob took over Paul Perez s pos1t1on .Terry Parsons replaced Bruce LeCla1re Betty .Tepsen became the clan scr1be Mar1lyn Kennedy took .Terry Parson s place as tax collector and Florence Randall represented the clan 1n Counc1l 17 G, . 3. , - . :- . : : :- . :- . : l . . .,..
