CLASS HISTORY Spar-ked by the dynamic efforts and leadership of Mr. Ortman and class president, Carol DeWoody, the sophomore class fof '56, began a new school term for 1953-1954. The spark didn't fade even after the annual event, the Halloween Dance, left us weary and full of cider. We again shot ahead with new vigor, to introduce the great basketball abilities of several outstanding personalities of the class. They added to the strong, record-winning streak of the Junior Panthers and also to the pride of their classmates. Our biology class proved to be a nightmare to many of the weaker sex, when under the direction of Mr. White, we made quick work of many pre- served specimens, from grasshoppers to frog. The Glory Halo goes to Edward Ortman, who proved to be the electric current under the spark, which set the Sophies off on a memorable school year. Look for big things in the future from the class of 1956!

CLASS HISTORY The Junior Angels have been polishing their halos through another year, sparked by the boundless enthusiasm of their president, Bob Huselton. They began their activities by having a special dance on Valentine's Day called Candy Heart , which was quite an accomplishment, even for Angels . A number of successes followed this first one, such as the junior skate at Twin Willows and the bake sale. But the most important event on the calendar for the class of '55 was the Junior-Senior Prom. Give a rousing cheer and a lot of credit to Miss Hartzell, who sponsored this group of angelic beings, bringing them down to earth. Look out for the dynamic class of '55, next year's seniors. Rather heavenly!! Don't you think so?

CLAS S HISTORY In seventh grade, we were beginning to get accustomed to junior high life. We were a strong body of thirty-eight pupils under the leadership of Mrs. Bunyan. We elected for our president, Jean Jurincic. Under the leader- ship of Jean, we accomplished many things. We went on trips to the Heinz Factory, Cathedral of Learning, and K,D.K.A. Radio Station. Now as we look back on seventh grade, we are very proud of our past and of those who have contributed to our education. Our second big step was entering eighth grade. Our home room teacher was Mrs. Walder and our president, Florence Tackett. We changed our class flower from lily of the valley to carnation with aqua and silver as our colors. This year we welcomed to our class Ray Parker, Phyllis Ahner, and Viola Ervin. We are now freshmen and this year our president is Barbara Chambers. We all agree, she is indeed awonderful president. It was this year we decided what courses to take for future vocations. It was also this year, we were under the leadership of Mr. Herceg. With him, we learned many new things. Our freshman year was a strong class of thirty-seven. Our future goal is to do good work in all the fields we may enter.
