Parents are not always able to provide everything to cover college costs. Even though some kids work to gain ex- perience or to fill up their spare time, most working students earn money to help pay for books, tuition, and rents. This work ideally should not interiere with study but most times it Indirectly does. Added hours means increased fa- tigue. Time may be set aside to study or to participate in activities but most likely working students are too tired for them. However, these people are fortunate be- cause they're the ones who are fre- quently found down at Mid-State cash- ing their Friday checks. They're the ones who can put down on their resumes that they've had some extra employment, maybe In their major. Also, they're the ones who learn a lot about budgeting time and money which proves most beneficial.
