The College of Agriculture provides for its students through prep- aration in the agricultural and forest sciences, with an emphasis on practical application of these sciences. Instruction benefits from ac- tive research programs in all departments. In addition to the program of resident instruction, the College performs research at the Agricultural Experiment Station and offers its technological know-how to the public through its Extension Serv- ices. The College offers technical, nondcgrcc programs to provide training in agriculture and related occupations for anyone desirous of it. These courses vary in length from three days to two years for the Winter Courses. This year the undergraduate enrollment in the College of Agricul- ture rose almost to 1.000, paralleling the steady increases in the size and scope of thc Collegcls programs. fl No College of Agriculture would be complete without its dairy barns.
