Completion of plans for construction of the now Research Li- brary t0 the cast of Pattcc Library was the highlight of the year for the University Libraries. The Research Library. a five-story building. is being built as a General State Authority project. This was also a year of innovations in service. Faculty book delivery service was extended to cover the entire University Park campus, tclcfacsimilc service was expanded to link most of the Commonwealth Campus Libraries with Pattcc. and listening car- rcls connected with the Listening-Lcarning Ccntcr were installed in Pattcc and three branch libraries.
