l26l ROTC More than 4,800 students are enrolled this year in the various Reserve Olliccrs Training Corps programs. The record enrollment ligurc includes 2,768 students in the Air Force program, 1,735 Army cadets, and 3-H studying under the Navy program. While the majority of students are enrolled in the basic courses. the Air Force has 442 advanced students and the Army has 181 ad- vanced students. Upon completion of the program, these students will receive reserve commissions as second lieutenants and many of them will be called to active duty. All of the Navy ROTC students are Cir rolled for four years of naval science. The HO regular students upon completion of the program will receive commisxions us cnsigns in the U. S. Navy and scrvc on active duty while the 198 contract students enrolled, upon completion of the four years, will receive r0 serve commissions and may he called to active duty. Some of the Navy ROTC students are commissioned as second lieutenants in thc LI. 5. Marine Corps. The Army zmd Navy ROTC units had :10 tivc pistol teams during the year while the Air Force had an active honor guard.
