The ever increasing needs of the college made all CSDC- ciully interested in securing an adequate apprnpriation from the Pennsylvania Legslaturc: and :1 vigorous campaign wag started early in the year by the friends of the institutimt Particularly gratifying was the interest shown by the puhlic along this hne-our agriculturai school. its merits. and its needs received special attention from the press of the Statc- while the mining school was vigorously supported by State organizations of mine workers and operators. Other schools had their partisans, and such vigorous action gun hardlv fail to bring results sooner or later. ' On Pennsylvania Day the College was visited by Governor Toner. Senator Pen- rose. aml other State otticials, and this celebration of our annual founder's tlav was very successfully carried out.
