New professors with strange, new courses filled the campus. Values. What are they? Bring a shower cap, sheet and a mask to class. Independent study groups. Dialogues on mind challenging questions occurred weekly. Innovation, uniqueness in academic ideas brims over the campus. So with the coming of Thanksgiving, stu- dents have begun to freely communicate with new friends, professors, administra- tors: a new year edges towards the end of its first term . .. WINTER: DISCOVERING YOURSELF After the four weeks of Christmas Vaca- tion, the campus filled again with rested, excited, newly married and depressed stu- dents. A spectrum of moods. A myriad of ideas came together again. Skiing at Roundtop, student teaching for the seniors, interviews from companies: the activities of a cold, wintry term. Rumors of resignation by the vice presi- dent of social affairs, displeasure with the parking situation. The two big ques- tions ot the term. What was planned? Would winter weekend ever be a reality? Snow removal-who should do it? Finally, after a start as bleak as the wea- ther, things began happening. Dances, parties, Ski Weekend, and other fun events began to become numerous and available to students. Budgets for the juniors, soon to be sen- iors, were passed at government meet- ings. The seniors began to sit back, watching the planning for a year they would not be a part of . .. wondering, questioning . . . 6 7 nw
