Betsy is one of our Honor Roll students, and certainly is pleased when she gets a better mark than Elizabeth Flory. She helps the band out by playing a clarinet: she helps Photography Club by being treasurerg and she helps herself by chasing after the fellow she has her eyes on. But, all in all, Betsy is sure to get along as well atcollege when she enters in the fall as she did here at Manor. xi' C CANT Sub HAINES P. CLEMENTS Clem General Baseball 3, 42 Bus Patrol 45 P. O .D. Club. This shy, likeable chap is one of the very few quiet boys from Manor. Besides taking part in his school work, he doees a very good job as a bus patrolman. Ruthie is that blonde lass of the keyboard who keeps her figure trim by exercising daily on her scales and arpeggios. Being pianist of the Glee Club keeps her quite busy, but she marches on with a bright Colgate smile. With her tittering laugh and sunny disposition, we know she'll make a hit with the world and will find an open door in some fellow's heart! . 11, W, UF' MAHLON E. CAMPBELL Malone General Sports Club 2: Band 2: Fire Squad 3: Baseball 3: P. O. D. Club: Senior Play. Meet one of the brains of the Senior gang. Whenever the chemistry or P. 0. D. class is on the verge of collapse, Malone comes up with an answer. He frequently be- comes suspicious of the professors when his report card does not contain all A's. Why, of course, it's Joanne, whose sweet disposition and sunny smile have already captured the heart of a cer- tain sailor! LEWIS A. DENLINGER Sonny General junior Band 2: Band 5, 4: Baseball 2: P. O. D. Club. Sonny, who hails from Safe Harbor, helps keep the football and baseball games interesting. His main interest, besides being with Kathryn, is to join the Navy. Although he isn't too interested in his studies, he manages to get along. Best of luck to you, Sonny. EVELYN A. ECKMAN Evelyn Commercial Choral Speaking 2: Dramatics Club 5, 4: Bus Patrol 5, 4: Girls' Chorus 4: P. O. D. Club. Bright and early describes this Manor farmerette. I-Ivelyn is up at 5:30 every morning milking, but she still manages to make the honor roll, Rumors are flying that this future secretary has a very special interest in the Army! NEWELL M. ECKMAN Newell General Sports Club 2: Band 2, 3, 4: Service Club 5: Key Club 4: P. 0. D. Club: Soccer 4: Trumpeter 4. Everyone's friend-that's Newell. Besides being a good baseball player, he can really make a racket on those drums. Newell can take as well as give a good joke-he's a swell sport. We aren't too sure of his uture but whatever it may be, if it takes personality, Newell will certainly succeed.
