Eaton 4 5 Our team played the first home game on October 4, and showed their most potent at- tack ofthe year, trouncing Derry Borough, 31-6. After a scoreless first quarter, Cianciotto plunged live yards for the first Indian score, and the drive was on. The remaining Penn touchdowns were scored by Falta, Hilty, and Cian- ciotto. The Derry boys scored their lone touchdown on a pass in the third quarter. The Indians took on Ligonier in what was to be an easy game for the Indians, but with Ligo- nier in good condition for this meeting, the Indians were lucky to squeeze out a 7-2 victory. Ligonier scored in the first quar- ter when Miller, deep in the Indians' own territory, went back to pass and stepped out of the end zone for an automatic safety and two points for Ligonier. The Township touchdown came in the third quarter after a 3o- yard run by Cianciotto which set up the touchdown, with Miller going over from the two-yard line to score. Miller's kick for the extra point was good. The Indians' fifth game ofthe year against a traditional rival, Trafford, resulted in an I8-6 loss. The Tomahawks scored in the first and fourth periods on passes from Brickel to Mazur and Faby- onik, and in the second period on a plunge by Horvanic. VVith TrafTord's second string in the game, the Township boys scored in the last quarter on a 60-yard run back of the kick-off by Cian- ciotto. .East Huntington was our only night contest of the season. The Indians came through with their third victory, a 20-I3 tally. East Huntington scored in the opening period when Cianciotto fumbled a punt in the end zone. Following the kick-off, the In- dians came back to score on two plays: a pass by Miller to Tilson for 36 yards and Cianciotto's 34-yard run for the touchdown. The Rometo-men increased the score again in the second quarter as Miller went around end for 23 yards and a touchdown.
