Our new instructor, Miss Nancy Lynch, has proved herself by leading the Chorus in all its activities. Greensbur 1' Hirh School was the scene of the Count Chorus which took :lace December 12. A S Y I Our school was Richard Yates, soloist. H! fl well represented by Patty Busche, Alice Shearer, Harry Greer, Thomas Eaton, Otha Fink, and Ronald Kelley. Robert Eaton was seletted from our school as The Spring Music Festival was presented two consecutive nights-May 10, and May ll. This concert was the result of many hours of hard work and practice. But when the big night came, their efforts were realized, for a grand performance resulted. On the evening of May 10, the junior High and Grade schools partici- pated in a heartwarming program. Some of the highlights were square dances and gay country songs such as Country Style and Skip to my Lou. Also presented was a short skit. The following night, May ll, the Senior Chorus, along with the band, brought to us another enjoyable evening of music. The old favorites, Cindy and Madame Jeannette, were among the songs sung by the mixed Chorus. Also featured was the girls' Chorus who sang Donkey Serenade and If I Could Tell You. Other members of this program were a barbershop quartet, a girls' sextette, duets and solos. NVith the assistance of the band, this event proved to be a big success. The Senior members had charge of all activities for the year. 56 H 5513 . .. le ' ' - f . , . . Although music education is their ultimate aim, this is by no means a dull organization. Dur- ing the past year they partici- pated in parades at Irwin and Harrison City-winning a prize at Irwin-the outdoor Scoutoree at McKee Stadium, and a Hallo- ween Party. In addition, the band played in various assembly programs throughout the year. The outstanding event of the year, however, was the Spring Music Festival on May ll. 7Px,,r T R E L ff ' Q' V N ep 'F N Rozv 2: Kunak, Blank, J. Kosglow, Cinti, Kemerer, A. Long, WV. Stepnick, R. Of the thirtyvsix members of the band, five seniors leave this year: Joe Busija, james Brown, Roy Eakman, Robert Eaton, and Mary Long. Ofhcers chosen this year that helped make their undertakings successful were: president, Ar- thur Longg vice-president, Emil Bezakg and secretary-treasurer, Xvilliam Kosglow.
