The years of high school at Penn Hills have brought with them many changes for the individual student and the school. These changes were particularly noticed by thc Sophomore Class. A new school, a larger curricu- lum and new activities typified this first year in senior high school. The Juniors had perhaps the most diflicult changes to make. They had to mature enough in this one short year to make decisions that most certainly would affect the rest of their lives. Testing, curriculum changes and preparation for the last year are all changes that belong to the Junior Class. Then there are the Seniors, they have seen three years pass since that September day when it all started. They have made the change and adapted well. Those three years have lent themselves to a maturing of mind and body for the Senior. Certain changes have been common to all stu- dents, new teachers, new classes, new friends, the school has also changed, the new football field came into use for the first time this year and along with it the new field house. These were large changes, but there were many more, some not so obvious, but all affected us equally. These changes were developed in us by the things we did and saw, such as our participation in sports, plays, club activities and the classroom. All of these things converged in aiding to the growth of our minds and attitudes. These are all things which typify growth. Ac- cordingly, this is the theme of the 1966 SENECA. Par- ticularly, we want to emphasize the change that growth evolves. We hope that each individual will remember these changes and cherish them, for they cannot be relived. Of the many events and occurrences this year, the 1966 SENECA has tried to record as many as is pos- sible. If these events are remembered in years to come when they are nearly forgotten and if the pictures of old friends and familiar scenery is brought back to mind, the 1966 SENECA will have succeeded and our purpose will be fulhlled.
