CUE AND CURTAIN Cue and Curtain is composed of juniors and seniors who have earned points for membership by acting in school dramatic productions or participating on play committees. Advised by Mrs. Mildred Dunham, Cue and Curtain created interest in the theater by sponsor- ing 'fAn Evening of One Actsn and by entering local dramatic competition. A CAPPELLA CHOIR The Music Department of Penn Hills High School, under the direction of Mrs. Betty Jo Wareham and Mr. James Stivanson, is one of the largest in Pennsylvania. The Choral Department consists of the total of six choruses which in- cludes A Cappella, Junior-Senior Girls, Con- tabile, Bel Canto, and the two Sophomore Girls Choruses. Throughout the year these groups par- ticipated in activities such as the Christmas Pro- gram, assemblies, and a Spring Concert. The most select of the choruses is A Cappella. In addition to singing at school activities, A Cap- pella also entertained at various events in the community. Smaller groups from A Cappella are Penn Notes, Sub Tones, and Triple Trio. 140
