Wfwlly yt if wilylfffla Jifflif All if iw, ,aww A 1 -t VJ tif QV M .5 We Q23 If Q? iss Emil changes took place. A gradual maturing of the individual During the three years of high school, several notable Y lg student evolved as everyday experiences contributed to his overall knowledge. Participation in such things as sports, club activities, plays, and classroom experiments left its imprint on the character of each student. Although some- times they seemed unimportant, every encounter with fellow students and teachers formulated our ideas and attitudes. The time spent at Penn Hills High School, then, has meant more to each of us than just attending classes until gradua- tion. We gained wisdom, confidence, and a revised outlook on life. We became adults. Each student progressed through high school along his own path. Sometimes that path converged with those of his fellow students, but often he found that to assert himself as an individual was most important. In keeping with this pat- ern of individualism, the theme of the 1965 SENECA is line patterns. It is hoped that each student will identify him- self with the line that symbolizes his high school years-the events and experiences that made the three years part of a memory shared by his classmates, and yet unique to him. For each of us, several particular occurances of our years at Penn Hills High are outstanding, and the 1965 SENECA his included as many of them as possible. In future years, as the line crosses memory after memory of the past, the purpose of the 1965 SENECA will have been fulfilled. As he reads each page, and recalls old friendships and nearly-forgotten events, each member of the Class of 1965, no matter where he may be, will in some way come back to Penn Hills High. f-X -9 Qi iaith- of it NS s , sie , or Sgt Slug lfiffr
