They have spent considerable time and energy working out and directing school policies. These citizens with their combined talents have given us greater educational opportunities and more modern facilities. We extend our sin- cere gratitude to the Board of Educa- tion for doing an excellent job. Then, too, We wish to pay tribute to the memory of Mr. Edward B. Messen- ger who passed away suddenly before the 1954-1955 term began. We know that the township has lost a very valu- able friend and leader in the educational field. Mr. Messenger served on the Board of Education for twelve years from 1943 to 1954 respectively, taking his turn in office as president, secretary and treasurer.
