SPORTS Lennsvllle high School has always been known for her in sports She has always held a COmDbt1bOTS, especially ln bas In the p st few years softball largely for baseball, ant girls bandoned Lowever, volleyball great lnterest taken hlgh place among her ketbsll and baseball has been substltuted basketball has been and track have been added although Pennsville has been handlcapped by a small court, she has won several county champlonships, includlng three straight ln the years 1955 to 1957 All good thlngs must sometlme come to an end I quoting this statement we have referred pre mlnently to the fleld of sports It is in this department that the hlgh school student most commonly H1SC6ITES'1th great disappolntment, the abrupt end of br1111ant winnlng streak 1n basketball, or the improper followlng defeats. It has been w1th this thought 1n 1nd that the Senlors of 1959, as well as those of 1958, have felt rather dismayed at not havlng brought tle county basketball champlonship to their Alma Mater. Neverthe less, they have unfurled the Green and Whlte Sarner. These colors will flutter in the breeze of Tlme with sparkling stars of true sportsmanship that w111 glitter and gleam forever ln the hearts of those who are now members of the Alumnl.
