ALCORN Assistant Principal Daily or periodically we hear these familiar words coming over the public address system: We have a special announcementug Take it away audi- torium g May I have your attention please? That's all, thank you . The announcements are voiced by Dr. Jo- seph Wherry, a well-qualified person, administering the affairs of our school. Many pressing and important problems constantly arising because of increased membership, he solves admirably. Like the prophet of yesterday, Dr. Wherry, too, lays the foundations of tomorrow by his faith in youth. One who leads the way toward better attitudes, more gracious m a n n e r s, worthier tastes, and higher values is Mr. Matthew Alcorn. He deals with at- tendance problems too. His frequent interviews with students, teachers, and parents require constant alertness and tactfulness as he paves the way to a better understanding and a more har- monious relationship between various individuals who come to him for coun- selling. A friend to all, he seeks to guide youth into a happier way of liv- ing. Mrs. Arnold and Mrs. Data, secretaries
