They fear being swallowed by its immensity, of losing themselves in the hundreds already crowd- ing the hallways. But they learn quickly enough that they must prove themselves— and they did by building the homecoming float, by selling spirit stickers, and raising money for the prom. By hiking the spirit lev- els to super-sophomore levels, they made PHS proud of its '78 class, who know the real meaning of “feeling free.”’ Opposite Sophomores declare their school spirit with: 149
