The Chamber Choir of Penn High School is in its second year of existence. The purpose of the Chamber Choir is to act as good will ambassadors in behalf of Penn High School. They sing for many social functions of the community. These students give up much of their free time after school and in the evenings in order to practice and perform. They have appeared at dinners, club meetings. churches and concerts. This year the Chamber Choir was awarded a superior rating at the Jimtown NISBOVA contest qualifying it for the state contest held at Butler University, Indiana- polis. The choir was successful at state contest also, re- ceiving a superior rating for its presentation of 'LApril is in My Nlistress Face. The highlight of the year for the choir students is the Christmas Concert. Students begin preparing for the con- cert as early as October in order to present the concert in December which this year was attended by a capacity crowd. The choirs presented such beautiful Shepherds' Awakeu. The Holly and the Starw, uRocking Carolu, and HSweet Little A new group introduced this year by Mr. the Singing Kingsmen. This group consists boys. The Singing Kingsmen captivated the the Christmas Concert with their lively Christmas melodies. They have ,indeed been numbers as Ivyw, UThe Jesus Boyn.
