'Ui junior Dave Rumpf, Pennls second-floor troubadour en- tertains classmates Sue Wordinger and Ron Frantz. Their ue! It's a long, long time from September 'till june and our restless group eagerly shadowed the class of '66 until we were certain that we could wrest the leadership reins from the de- parting seniors. Like delegates at a convention, members of our class represented us in almost every school-sponsored activity. We laughed with jim Evans, Carole Kleckner, and Dennis Myers in MBOX and Cox . We were entertained by kids from our class in the band and chorus. Some won medals, too! Junior boys thrilled us on the gridiron and basketball floor and Roger Weldy drew our cheers as he ran the last lap of the 440. He's fast. We admit to being selhsh in December when our 'class rings arrived but no one seemed to mind. April 30, the night of the PROM seemed to remind us of the many unsellish after-school hours we spent working to make it an unfor- gettable occasion. We hope you seniors liked it too! We were proud to be present at the National Honor Society Induction. Some of us made it. just to make sure we wouldn't miss anything we suggested that our class be represented at Boys' and Girls' State and the summer journal- ism institute. We are a proud group but there is still much to do and next year we have plans to do it. Remember, all year long welve shadowed the seniors and we're ready to take over. Mr. Robert W. Jones poses with girls' staters Terry Meacham, Katie Zeiger, Barbara Weade, and Vicki Simms. it l Boys' Staters Dave Rumpf, Ron Frantz, and Fred Middleton have an informal seminar on the history of student government at Boys' State.
