Learning about the opportunities in teaching and cultivating the qualities essential in a good teacher, Penn's cadet teachers extend their interest in the profession while on-the-job training. The F.T.A. planned a program which included, among other things, a talk by Miss Standish of the Guidance Department on the organization of the cadet teaching program, an informal presentation by Jackie Geerligs, the Penn High summer exchange student to Finland, and a lecture by Dr. George Huys on the organization of the P-H-M School Corporation. The Final meeting of the cadets was an evaluation-discussion of the teaching problems and program followed during the year. The ultimate purpose of F.T.A. is to help the mem- bers decide whether to continue pursuing the Turley.
