Those interested are: Earl McDowell, Robin Bean, Mike Kanouse, man, Barbara Myers, an enms y Qcieuw and Math Majors Academia Disciplines Tlvwugiv wth Activities Interesting discussions and experiments in math were the features of the 1965 edition of he Math Club. Led by sponsor Mr. Daniel Diener and club ofhcers Phil Allen, Mike Kanouse, Barbara Rumpf, and Steve Kelley the club heard Phil Allen solve for pi, Mr. Diener relate the mathematical prowess of the Egyptians, Mike Kanouse shouw some problems in logic, and David Rumpf illustrate how to derive special magic squares. Pre-Engineers begin their tour through the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Steel plant. Hanley, Haines and Gilbert gather information. :www Atbwwts Ambdious Pwatgww., clobbm Sixty Five boys and three s onsors went on an in - P - dustrial tour through the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Steel Mills in East Chicago and through the Ameri- can Standard Oil Refinery in Whiting, Indiana in October. Approximately Fifty members attended the Christmas Party 5 enjoyed a Christmas Dinner, movies, basketball, and the Christmas treat. Several indus- trial movies were shown and several industrial leaders and engineers spoke before the club this year, giving the boys an insight as to how to make a living.
