Former Madisonite Brent Weldy, a senior, capped an outstanding season by being named MVP.- With VVeldy leading the way, the two milers raced to a 6-6 record, logging a winning sea- son for the Hrst time since 1962. The squad was bolstered by sophomore John Dudeck and junior Terry Batson, whose determined efforts earned them the positions of co-captains for this fall's team. Seniors Dave Beery and Doyle Reinhardt and junior Dick Fulmer, besides winning letters in the sport, also were among the top six boys in scoring. One of the veteran's of coach Bolen's mound staff will be Don Holmes. Don hurled for Madison during the 164 season. Basketballers Stan Yoder and Phil Allen make the sports transition via conditioning and calistenics.
